On 14 August 2021, Balestier Press hosted a fascinating book club event to discuss More Than One Child, a memoir by Shen Yang and translated by Nicky Harman. Debut author Shen Yang, translator Nicky Harman and prolific writer Xinran Xue were present to discuss the memoir, which tells the tale of Shen Yang's life as the second child born in her family during China's one child policy.
